Why Worship?

These past few weeks I have been doing my own Bible study on "Why We Worship?".I just started thinking about as humans we worship are material possessions such as cars,money,and electonics.Most of us attend Sunday and Wednesday night services with intentions of clapping,singing,or dancing.Do we really understand why were doing all those movements during worship service or are we just doing it because we think it is required for us to do it?I have come to the conclusion that worship is just like prayer.One of my favorite Bible stories is David in the Lions den.King Darius tried to stop David from praying and worshiping God by threatening him with harm with the lions.David even after being threatened continued to worship God and ended up being thrown in the lions Den by the king.Because of Davids obedience the lions mouths were closed shut and he was unharmed.That same David stopped everything and began to worship God when the ark was placed in the tabernacle which means worship is just as important as prayer.When we take time to worship God it brings peace and calmness to our lives.God does so much for us and we forget to just stop to tell him how much we love him.God wants us to worship with everything we got!Someday all of us will be on our knees in front of our heavenly father.Why not worship like we were in heaven now?Lets get an head start becasue he is worth giving are whole body to him on a spiritual level!
