A little something about Elvis Presley

I remember being age five dancing around the house to Elvis Presley. It didn't occur to me that I was listening to music that was made way before I was born.My mom even bought me a full band set.Im talking the whole sha-bang!I had the drums, guitar, keyboard, and microphone. My mom has pictures of me climbing into the cabinets playing hiding seek just so I could bang on the pots and pans.I was a mess! Now that I am older I still have that same love for music. My little nephew loves dancing with his Aunt Martha and I am determined that he will understand why I love music.
Today is Elvis Presley's 75th B-day and I am one of his number one fans.I love going to Memphis and doing all the tours. My favorite memories are on Beale Street during Elvis Week. They have all these different musicians on the street that play for you at night. There is only one condition that the musicians give you.You have to dance in order for them to play for you.I practically cut loose and dance the night away.I want leave Beale Street till like 2am in the morning.I highly recommend it!Good Times! Here are some fun facts about one of my all time favorite performers:

  2. he originally wanted to be a gospel singer.

  6. It was rumored that at the start of Elvis's career the colonel had paid girls to scream at his concerts.
  7. Tht first national magazine to do a story on Elvis is LIFE in 1956.
  8. Elvis mom was his bestfriend.
  9. When the Beatles met Elvis they were shy so Elvis just walked out of the room but later he came back to play the piano for them.
